Our village church needs a leader who will direct and develop our music for worship. We have a small choir, several accomplished instrumentalists, an organ and an electronic keyboard – and a vision that worship should inspire our mission. As well as playing for services on Sundays and major festivals, administering and recording church music, you would encourage others in using their gifts in music and help the incumbent to select music for worship. An ability to work with children and young people (for which an enhanced DBS check will be required) is desirable. An Occupational Requirement has been established for the post holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act.

At St Philip’s we seek to show God’s love to the community of Kelsall and further afield, both practically and through prayer. We enjoy a variety of services that provide both the traditional Anglican liturgy, or more contemporary worship, all centred around the word of God revealed in the Bible. This year St Philip’s celebrate our 150th Anniversary. More than ever we are taking our ministry into our community. We want to share with you our wonderful fellowship throughout the year in a series of events listed below.
A prayer for the life of our church
Lord, bless this Church,
that we may reveal your presence
and the power of your resurrection.
May our church community
show signs of new life and joy in you.
Through our relationship with you
may we bring others to be faithful.
Lord, fill us with your Spirit
and make us a holy people,
fulfilled in you and reaching out to others.
Bless this Church, that it may grow in outreach,
in holiness and in number.
In Jesus’ name.
